Summer School & Credit Recovery

Any 9-12 grade student that received a failing grade in a class is eligible to take summer school and recover that credit. Fill out the form below and return to the office ASAP. 

Summer school begins June 5 M-R for 3 weeks. You must attend all 3 weeks in order to receive the credit recovery. Click here for form.

Any students in grades 7-12 who need additional help with school work, Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Zastrow are available to help with tutoring as the following times:

🔴 Tuesdays from 7am-8am in Mrs. Brown's classroom.

🔵 Wednesdays from 3:15-4:15pm in Mrs. Zastrow's classroom.

Parents/Guardians, please remind your children of this academic help. This is an excellent time for your child to get any questions answered as well as caught up on homework and work on any school assignments. Questions, contact the office at (218) 924-2500.

Bertha-Hewitt's ECFE classes are every Tuesday at 4:00-5:30pm or 6:00-7:30pm at the Early Childhood Center, enter Door 11.

Open to families along with their children ages 0 to 5. ECFE is a free program provided by Bertha-Hewitt in collaboration with Freshwater Education District. 

We encourage families to call Lisa Wick to register at (218) 629-6082. Families can register and attend at anytime.

Bertha-Hewitt School Targeted Services program is in place to help students get caught up in school (and stay caught up), and offer an environment that is conducive to learning, practice reading or basic math.

It’s a FREE program for grades 3-6 students on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:15 to 4:00 p.m., starting Oct. 25. Grades K-2 program will start Jan. 10.

Last Day for Targeted Services K-5th is April 27th. 6th Grade will continue into May.
